Hosted by Carson Daly, The Voice airs at 9 pm on NBC and is available for streaming on Hulu. This season’s coaches/judges are singers Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Jenifer Hudson, and Blake Shelton. Past judges and celebrity guests have included Miley Cyrus, John Legend, and Rihanna.

It’s known for its “blind auditions” in which the coaches sit in chairs facing away from auditioning singers. After hearing them sing, the coaches then have the option of pressing a button which spins their chair around. From there, they can make offers to coach contestants throughout the competition.

The Voice is unlike other singing competition reality shows such as American Idol, in that it is more focused on quality singing than on appearances.

Rated TV-PG, The Voice includes occasional crude humor and harsh language, some of which is bleeped out. Additionally, the tough competition sometimes includes insults and throwing shade.
