The latest addition to the Doomer Wojak meme series features a Doomer Girl and a repulsive, skeleton-like Doomer Boy. Throughout 2020, variations of Doomer/Wojak memes have been popular on social media depicting cartoons of the internet characters “Doomer Girl,” “Doomer,” “Chad,” and “Trad Girl” in various scenarios.
This new meme format includes the Doomer Girl and a disheveled Doomer boy who she calls “repulsive”. At first, the Doomer Girl says something along the lines “you’re the most repulsive person I have ever met.” After the Doomer Boy shares a desirable trait of his, however, the cartoon shows the two of them getting married.
The joke in these memes is that while someone may seem repulsive in many ways, certain things may make them drastically more attractive to a certain demographic of women. These memes often mock people for having bad taste in romantic partners, as the traits that the Doomer Boy has often aren’t actually very impressive.
Memes with this format started appearing on social media in December 2020, with early editions posted to Tumblr.
