Tana Mongeau has over 3.5 million YouTube subscribers, 1 million Twitter followers, She is best known for her “Storytime” videos and vlogs. She has collaborated with YouTubers including Shane Dawson, Jeffree Star, and James Charles.
Controversy and Beef
Tana Mongeau has been the center of some online drama and has beef with several other YouTubers. Most notoriously, she and iDubbzTV had a dispute about each of them making racist comments and they ultimately fought over whose comments were worse. Tana Mongeau has also been involved with vegan YouTuber drama and has feuded with Trisha Paytas, Jeffree Star, James Charles, and other controversial YouTubers.
In summer 2018, Tana hosted an event called TanaCon during the same weekend and in the same city as VidCon. What was supposed to be an alternative VidCon featuring YouTubers Shane Dawson, James Charles, and more, turned out to be a disaster. Mismanagement of the event and a lack of accommodation for the number of people who ended up showing up led to fans waiting in line for hours for virtually no programming. Many attendees have demanded refunds, and even compared TanaCon to the Fyre Festival catastrophe.
