It is when groups of people gather to role-play fictional characters and act out elaborate scenes from fictional worlds. LARPing typically involves play-fighting. LARPing has some stigma of being a “weird” activity, but is praised by LARPers (people who LARP) as a positive outlet for creativity, athleticism, community building, and more.
