A social media handle can be someone’s real name or a chosen pseudonym/nickname. On Twitter and Instagram, handles are followed by the @ symbol. Facebook profiles do not have handles because the site uses people’s real names instead. Social media handles are an important aspect of branding and name-recognition for many influencers and brands.
