Baby Boomers are a designated group of people, born between 1946 and 1964. They are labeled as such because during this period of time, there was a statistically significant increase in the number of births that occurred.

Many Millennials are the children of Baby Boomers.

In general, Baby Boomers benefited from a time of “increasing affluence” and levels of income higher than their parents. Today, they are the highest consumers of traditional media like television, radio, and newspapers, and though about 90% of Baby Boomers have a Facebook page, they are usually mocked by younger generations for their lack of computer-know-how.

This generation is often characterized by younger ones as conservative, traditional, and “set in their ways”. Their words and actions (especially as they relate to Millennials and Gen Zers) can come across as judgmental or salty.

As much as the Baby Boomers seem to hate on younger generations, sometimes going as far as to accuse Millennials of “killing” ideals like nine-to-five jobs or monogamous relationships, they’re often blamed by both Millennials and Gen Zers as the root of their problems.
