TikTokers are proving they are one of the first to like a video they foresee to be popular by commenting “invested stock in” or “invested in stock at” followed by the number of likes at the time they saw the video.

The phrase is similar to when TikTokers would comment #first or “early gang.” The premise is to point out having seen the TikTok trend before it becomes mainstream.

TikTok’s “For You Page” is catered to each user, with the algorithm suggesting videos they think users would like the most. Often times, videos that appear on the “For You Page” are already popular, having amassed thousands of likes before you’ve seen it.
