Internet users are pretending to be a part of children’s show Hip Hop Harry as part of the #HipHopHarryChallenge. In the show, Harry was a bear that ran an after-school community center where kids play together. Harry taught the kids about creativity and friendship through hip-hop songs. The show ran from 2006 to 2008 and is remembered by its iconic dance circle where the kids showed off their best moves. A clip of the dance circleΒ  began to spread in mid-April. TikTokers began creating their own Hip Hop Harry videos in mid-April, tracked under the hashtags #HipHopHarry, #HipHopHarryDanceCircle, HipHopHarryChallenge, and #WhosNextChallenge. These hashtags have 1.6 million views, 33,400 views, and 1280 views, respectively on TikTok.

These videos then appeared on Twitter and Instagram in early May 2020.Β  The nostalgia captured many across all three platforms.

Many TikTokers created skits out of the viral clip from the children’s show, like @theeblackbadger. His hilarious skit captioned, “When you learned a new dance move as a kid and you wanted to show yo whole FAMILY” garnered over 1 million views and 369,000 likes on TikTok.
