On September 7, 2018, Mac Miller was found dead in his San Fernando Valley home of an apparent drug overdose, TMZ reported. The Pittsburg rapper has publicly struggled with substance abuse and mental illness for years. His death came a month after the release album Swimming. Mac Miller was 26 years old.

Friends, collaborators, and fans have expressed their sadness and condolences online.
