Despite the Coronavirus pandemic that has changed many traditional ways of life, Daniel Ahmadizadeh and Christopher Smeder have found a way to make people feel more connected while practicing social distancing. With the Quarantine Together App, people who are in self-isolation and wash their hands can avoid the feeling of loneliness by going on virtual dates that are granted to people who are staying in quarantine and are taking preventative measures when it comes to the Coronavirus outbreak.

What Is The Quarantine Together App?

The Quarantine Together App is a digital platform that gives users the ability to connect with other people across the globe. Even though the dating app’s waitlist is full, people are discovering love interests in unlikely places. As stay-at-home orders become more restrictive, people who are staying inside are capable of having a date with a random user at 6pm every day. Once, both users confirm, a match is formed and each participant will receive a private test message. Then, after 20 minutes the Quarantine Together App will send a video chat link where people can take their digital relationship to the next step.

After each meeting, users will receive a feedback survey that will allow them access to a link to donate to frontline healthcare workers. The fund provides medical professionals with protective gear and facial masks.
