#MMMdrop is trending on TikTok after the Beastie Boys and Apple TV+ launched a campaign  to promote their new Apple TV+ documentary Beastie Boys Story on April 24. The band was well-known for their 1998 hit “Intergalactic” which featured an iconic line: “Beastie Boys known to let the beat, mmm, drrrop.” Popular creators are using these lyrics as a punchline to various types of TikTok videos (comedy, dancing, style, etc.) all under the hashtag #MMMDrop.

The hashtag is trending and on the “discover” page and has over 65.6 million views.  The audio clip “Intergalatic” by the Beastie Boys is linked to over 1300 videos, at the time of publication.

Creator @shreksdumpster modeled a 90’s style outfit, before dropping to the floor. Her video received over 25,000 likes and 209,000 views within 17 hours of posting it.

@Isaiahrav recreated part of the Beastie Boys’ music video in his TikTok which amassed over 8000 likes and 166,000 views within 17 hours of posting.
