The Brief: r/IAMA is a subreddit on which Redditors are able to interview individuals with specific backgrounds. Past interviews have featured Elon Musk, Chris Pratt, Barack Obama, and many more.

IAMA is short for “I am a (insert job or hobby).” Generally, the interviewee makes a post describing their area of expertise and allows Redditors to ask them questions. Users can also make AMA, or “Ask Me Anything,” requests in which they try to find someone with a specific background to interview.
