It typically showcases a DJ entering a “club” and then playing a set for one individual dancing very far away from them. It is performed to The Wanted’s “Glad You Came.” At the time of publication, the hashtag #DJAtHome amassed over 46.2 million views and The Wanted’s “Glad You Came” is linked to 6,397 videos on TikTok.
The trend appeared on the app’s “discover” page on April 16, with the description, “Whether you’re performing for your family, or a party of one, pick your favorite song and pull on your headphones because it’s time to #DJAtHome.”
Creators are putting their own unique twists on the #DJAtHome trend, recruiting family members and friends to act like security guards and hype people. The most popular video was created on April 8. It features @colecallie receiving a high five from a doorman before walking onto his deck and performing for a friend near a lakefront. The video garnered 980,000 likes and 5 million views.

In @t_bent12’s TikTok video, a hype person hands him a pair of sunglasses (even though he’s already wearing a pair) as he heads out to the stage which is his second story deck. The then camera pans over to one person dancing in their front yard, all the way across the street. This video, uploaded on April 10, amassed over 167,000 likes and over 856,100 views.

Another top-ranked video was uploaded by creator @lindseygrams on April 12. In it, she heads to her window and begins playing a DJ set when the camera pans to an older gentleman dancing by himself in the yard. This TikTok received over 121,800 likes and over 675,000 views.
