On Monday, Myanmar’s military seized control of the country in a coup and a PE teacher recorded herself doing a dance aerobics routine in the country’s capital, unaware of armored vehicles arriving behind her. This video inspired many memes, remixes, and parodies about the juxtaposition between her cheerful dance and a military coup.
Aerobics instructor Khing Hnin Wai was recording a video for a dance aerobics competition, unbeknownst to the fact that the cars driving behind her were on their way to the parliament for a military takeover. She later posted the video on Facebook where it went viral.
