The Brief: People are tweeting photos of themselves at or around age 20 with the hashtag #MeAt20.

DEEP DIVE
The “me at 20” trend took off on Twitter on April 13, 2020, after user @202natt tweeted “Lmaooo what did y’all look like at 20?”
Lmaooo what did y’all look like at 20?
— I got a 172 on my LSAT. I dont argue for free. (@202natt) April 13, 2020
People replied to this thread with photos of themselves at or around age 20, sometimes roasting their younger selves or reminiscing about the past. Many people also took this as an opportunity to reflect on how much they’ve grown and changed over the years in ways other than just appearance.
The #MeAt20 trend then spread across social media to Instagram and Facebook as well. Similar to other throwback photo challenges like the #HowHardDidAgingHitYou challenge and the #17YearChallenge, this prompt allows people to show off some old pictures and see what their social media mutuals looked like in the past.
