The Brief: A group of actresses and stuntwomen created a video where they appear to be fighting that was filmed while they were in separate quarantines, starting the #BossBitchFightChallenge.

The original #BossBitchFightChallenge video was organized by Zoë Bell along with prominent Hollywood stars including Cameron Diaz, Margot Robbie, Florence Pugh, Rosie Perez, Halle Berry, Drew Barrymore, Scarlet Johansson, Rosario Dawson, and others. The video makes it look like different women are fighting violently, but they’re really just throwing punches at the camera with clever editing to make it look like a massive (and star-studded) fight.

Also known as the #LockDownKnockDown, the #BossBitchFightChallenge wowed many people over the weekend and inspired other groups of friends who are practicing social distancing to make their own collaborative videos from afar.

The original video begins with Zoë Bell reading a book on her couch and saying “I’m so bored! I just want to play with my friends! Wait a minute, I can play with my friends.” She then smiles and kicks the camera. Shots then cut to over a dozen other actresses and stuntwomen who added their own creative fight moves to the challenge. Video editing along with dramatic punches, kicks, and falls led to a cohesive and fun video showcasing how people can continue to interact and create things together even during quarantine. The only thing this video missed was the opportunity to include Doja Cat’s hit song “Boss B*tch.”

Variations of this challenge were inspired by the original video and add extra creative twists.
