The Brief: TikTokers are using red lipstick on their cheeks, foreheads, and noses as part of the new red lipstick #BlushTrend.

There’s a new viral beauty trend making the rounds on TikTok. The trend sees creators placing using red lipstick to try and create a rosy and slightly flushed look. If you attempt this trick, keep in mind that lipstick is thick and can potentially clog the pores on your skin.

The trend was started by @sellmakasumoviq. She first shared a video on the new technique Feb. 9. Once it was picked up by beauty enthusiasts and makeup influencers, the trend took off. The hashtag #BlushTrend has over 28 million views.

Creators typically start by drawing red lines on their cheeks, their foreheads, and down their noses. Next, creators blend the lipstick out. Then, they apply concealer to clean up and contour to contour (duh!).  The final step is to dab on foundation.
