As COVID-19 means many IRL events and outings are being canceled, TikTok is one way for people to play dress-up as if they were going out. The #WhatIdWear fashion trend has merged with cottagecore and Frog TikTok for a niche and amazing animal outfit trend set to the song “stupid horse” by 100 gecs.

Videos in this trend showcase the outfits people would wear if they were to infiltrate a community of another species, telling a mini-story of their journey through their outfits. Creator @luv2drinkbroth started this trend on July 2, 2020, with a video about “outfits I’d wear if I lived in a ladybug colony.” Her featured looks were labeled as “arriving at the colony,” “hanging with the cool ladybugs,” “the ladybug ball,” when they find out I’m not a ladybug,” and “my exile trial.”
