The Brief: Creators are using TikTok's upgraded duet feature to superimpose their body on top of Irish dancer @Marypapageorge.
TikTokers are taking advantage of the app’s new horizontal split screen feature to place their upper-body on top of a video of creator @Marypapageorge Irish dancing to Fergie’s “Fergalicious.” In the June 3 video, Papageorge hits nearly every beat from Fergie’s rap-styled track. TikTok users were impressed, giving Papageorge’s video over 1.5 million likes and 9.6 million views.
All the time I turn around, brothas gather ’round
Always looking at me up and down, looking at my uhhh
I just wanna say it now, I ain’t trying to ’round up
Drama little mama, I don’t wanna take your man
And I know I’m coming off just a little bit conceited
And I keep on repeatin’ how the boys wanna eat it
But I’m tryna tell
The video has since been duetted by other TikTokers over and over again, create their own humorous takes, similar to that of the viral cashier duet trend.
