The image that this meme is based on comes from a December 2019 fundraising video released by the Bernie Sanders campaign in which Sanders tells his supporters “I am once again asking for your financial support.” A screenshot of Senator Sanders standing outside in the snow and asking followers to make donations before the FEC deadline has been turned into an exploitable image macro meme format about situations in which someone is asking for money.
