When Beyoncé starts an internet dance challenge, it’s bound to go viral.

On Monday night, Beyoncé reached out to her 127 million followers on Instagram. In her first-ever Instagram story, she announced the “Before I Let Go Challenge.” This simple post consisted of a heart eyes emoji, a bee emoji, and the hashtag #BeforeILetGoChallenge.

The challenge is to dance to Beyoncé’s cover of Frankie Beverly and Maze’s 1981 bop “Before I Let Go.” Over the past few days, Beyoncé has been reposting videos of fans dancing to the song over her signature golden yellow background.

In the song, Beyoncé sings and instructs:

“Turn around, kick, then slide/ And twirl that a** to the right, now/ Ooh, bunny hop, bunny hop, drop, pop/ Cross your legs, turn around and clap/ Shuffle to the left, let’s glide now,”

Fans have been posting their choreographies to the song on social media in the hopes of being featured on Queen Bey’s Instagram story.

This challenge was announced shortly after the release of Beyoncé’s Netflix film Homecoming, which is about her iconic performance at Coachella last year. This week, Beyonce also dropped a live album version of her performance and her 2016 masterpiece Lemonade was finally added to Spotify.
