The Brief: Hashtags including #PresidentPlump, #PlumpTrump, #TrumpMorbidlyObese, and #GirtherMovement started trending on Twitter after Nancy Pelosi made a comment about Donald Trump being "morbidly obese."
On Twitter, #PresidentPlump, #PlumpTrump, #TrumpMorbidlyObese, and #GirtherMovement all reference comments that Nancy Pelosi made about the President being “morbidly obese.”
“As far as the President is concerned, he’s our President and I would rather he not be taking something that has not been approved by the scientists, especially in his age group and in his, shall we say, weight group — morbidly obese, they say. So, I think it’s not a good idea.”
While some people chided Pelosi for possibly partaking in fat-shaming, others took this as an opportunity to drag the president for his weight and for his promotion of a questionable COVID-19 treatment. The hashtags #PresidentPlump, #PlumpTrump, #TrumpMorbidlyObese, and #GirtherMovement all make fun of the President, in an attempt to bruise his ego.
Nancy Pelosi calling Trump "morbidly obese" while being concerned for him is amazing. One of the best things this year's offered so far. But more than anything, I can't wait for the meltdown Trump is gonna have over this. It's gonna be epic. This'll be a fun day! #PresidentPlump https://t.co/3HGteZ5x2p

Is trending and I’m giggling. Karma is bitch. All those years of fat shaming women..well anybody. Including his own daughter. As he would say this is a tremendous and beautiful thing. At the standpoint of irony. pic.twitter.com/Xb0J2dwJOo
