“Shake It” by Metro Station has long been a popular dance song that you might hear at a wedding or while shopping at a department store. This catchy tune has been the subject of numerous TikTok dances and challenges, the latest of which is an upbeat dance by @littledoorag and @number9ok5.
The dance, which is usually done in groups of two or more includes elbow bumping, head nodding, shaking, and other moves. The most recognizable move in the set is when two or more people repeatedly bump their elbows together. TikTokers @littledoorag and @number9ok5 first posted their version of the dance on July 16, 2020. In the weeks following, over 26,000 people have used their sound in videos, usually performing renditions of the dance. Stars including Dixie D’Amelio, Addison Rae, and Lil Huddy have all performed renditions of this 2020 Shake It dance.
