The Brief: TikTokers are determining their "model face" by smiling and raising their eyebrows as part of the #ModelFace Challenge.

DEEP DIVE
Trying to strike the perfect pose for a selfie can be challenging, but there’s a new trend on TikTok that can hopefully elevate your game. The #ModelFace Challenge is said to reveal a creator’s “model” face. These videos require TikTokers to 1) smile, 2) raise their eyebrows, and 3) stop smiling. This hope is that the challenge yields that deer-in-headlights look.
The trend traces back to TikToker @Diego_safi. His Aug. 23 video detailed instructions on how to look like a model in Spanish. The trend then made its way to English-speaking TikTok after user @Churro310 shared his take with the instructions in English. He also credited @Diego_safi. There are over 107,000 videos linked to @Churro310’s audio, which is Bishop Briggs’ “River.” Many videos can also be found under the associated hashtag #ModelFace.
