The Brief: On April 25th, #TikTokProm will be underway as widely known DJs and TikTok users will be virtually dancing the night away as if it was their own highschool prom night.
Starting on April 21st, TikTok users will be sent prom invitations as soon as they open up the social media application. This invite gives TikTok users the chance to view livestreams, participate in featured hashtags, and use TikTok’s creative effects that were specifically made for this special Prom event.
Aside from all of the at-home activities, TikTokers can listen to live sets of world-renowned DJs, Diplo, and Dillon Francis. #TikTokProm will include surprise guests and a lineup of performances geared towards those who need a special night to get excited for. #TikTokProm is open to all ages and will be having hashtag programming for people to create prom-related content for every day of the week leading up to the big night on Saturday, April 25th.

Starting on Tuesday, TikTok users will be able to view the best and easiest “Do it yourself” tips and tricks for Prom wardrobe, styling, and event planning. There will be a livestream event hosted by TikToker, @officialhambly who will be teaching users how to sew like a pro and look like a prince and princess on their big Prom night! #PromDIY has over 300 million views on TikTok and includes content outside of sewing such as promposals, playlist making, and manicure tutorials.

Starting Wednesday, TikTok users can stylize their signature looks for their Prom nights by taking the #PromDIY tricks they learned to curate their dream dress or suit. Users are prompted to show off a sneak peek of their #PromLook and get ideas from other content creators. Netflix has teamed up with TikTok to include their beauty star and actor Lachlan Watson to add some finishing touches to TikTokers Prom outfits. Also, there will be special livestreams from major guests to compliment TikTokers on their #PromLooks.
