The recorded dance series sparked popularity on March 15th when TikToker (@Keke.Janajah) first posted a TikTok of her debuting the dance which received over 4 million plays and now the hashtag (#SavageChallenge) has accumulated over 100 million views on TikTok.

The #SavageChallenge is a promotional social media strategy that is intended to build hype around Megan Thee Stallion’s new single, “Savage.” With fans all over the world participating in the challenge, Megan Thee Stallion’s debut album, Suga is cross-pollinating in several channels of social media (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter).
