The trend, touted as a trick only piano players can master, is marked by TikTokers tapping their index fingers against their thumbs. The left and right fingers are tapping to two different rhythms featured in the track Junko (Despair) by Josiane Lessard.

In December 2019, the audio was used for an anime pose challenge. TikToker’s imitated Danganronpa’s Junko’s poses which consisted of very fast crossing arm motions.

Now TikTokers are zeroing in on their finger coordination. Many popular creators have tried the trend, including Loren Gray.

First attempt at this 😳

The fast finger action was simple for some, primarily former pianists, like Michael Le (@justmaiko).

It took a lot more concentration for others, like popular creators Jason Derulo (@jasonderulo).
