The “So, You Hate Cops” trend on TikTok appears to have started as a trend in which TikTokers shared photos of their fathers who work in law enforcement as a means to try and gain sympathy for them. The trend took on a new life after other creators mocked the trend by sharing photos of their fathers who are not cops.
These videos are performed to a remix of Labrinth’s “Still Don’t Know My Name” by DJ @ianasher. There are over 368,000 videos linked to the audio on the app, many of which are part of this trend.
