The Bill Clinton Album Challenge on Instagram uses a photoshopped image of former President Bill Clinton sitting on the floor while listening to music as a way for people to share their favorite albums on their Instagram stories. This challenge is made possible by the website BillClintonSwag.com which provides a template for people to easily insert albums into the picture with Bill Clinton. According to Know Your Meme, the photo comes from a 1999 article in The Onion titled “Clinton Writes Fan Letter to Joan Jett.”
This internet challenge is particularly popular on Instagram where users nominate their friends to share their own versions of Bill Clinton album memes. While most memes depict people’s personal favorite albums, others appear to have been selected based on which ones it would be particularly amusing to imagine Bill Clinton to be rocking out to.
