After the viral success of Dalgona Coffee, TikTok has been recognized as a hub for food trends, especially ones that focus on visual appeal. “Pancake cereal” is the latest food trend to hit TikTok, giving people yet another fun food hack to try while in quarantine. This cute new internet food consists of lots of tiny pancakes served in a bowl with syrup and/or milk poured over them. In addition to Tiktok, the trend is also popular on Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter.

How To Make Pancake Cereal

According to videos on TikTok, pancake cereal can be made by mixing together pancake batter (store-bought mixes work well); adding it to a piping bag or anything else that allows you to pour small amounts at once; dabbing tiny discs onto a hot and greased griddle; stirring the mini pancakes around once they’re cooked (no flipping required); pouring them into a bowl, and adding syrup and/or milk on top.
