The Brief: The Dolly Parton Challenge invites people to share memes of the different photos that one might post on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Tinder.

DEEP DIVE
By starting the Dolly Parton Challenge, 74-year-old country music icon Dolly Parton took this meme to the next level after posting a grid of four photos of herself on Instagram with the captions “LinkedIn,” “Facebook,” “Instagram,” and “Tinder.” Although memes comparing different social media styles is not new, in the hours and days following, this meme has spread rapidly on Instagram, Twitter, and beyond, becoming known as the Dolly Parton Challenge.
Variations of this meme play with the concept of how one person may present themselves in a myriad of ways, depending on the social media platform they’re using. For example, one might like to look professional on LinkedIn, surrounded by friends and family on Facebook, fun and pretty on Instagram, and flirty or sexy on Tinder.
