Earlier this week at Apple’s 2019 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), the company unveiled their latest software updates along with a newly designed Mac Pro desktop computer and display.

The new, 32-inch Pro Display XDR monitor itself starts at $5,000, but that price doesn’t include the stand which costs another whopping $1,000. Meme-makers across the Dank Memes Subreddit were quick to drag Apple for the Pro Stand’s outrageous cost.

This now viral Reddit meme compares the the cost of the Pro Stand with various other products and activities. As the Pro Stand costs $999, most versions of the meme account for the many goods and swag someone could accumulate that would cost the same price.

This meme, often labeled “Choose Wisely,” is meant to illustrate just how much bang one can get for their bucks.

According to this Redditor, someone can afford a year’s subscription of Spotify Premium and Netflix, as well as six Minecraft accounts and a PlayStation 4 Pro, all for the same price as the Pro Stand.
