The Brief: Anti-Trump memes are created by those who are against the re-election of President Donald Trump due to his controversial statements and lack of experience.

DEEP DIVE
Anti-Trump memes are against the re-election of President Donald Trump due to his politics, history of controversial statements, and lack of experience. These are created by those who don’t deem him fit to run for a second term.
Over the course of his time in office, internet users and Trump’s critics have found solace in creating memes about the businessman-turned-president’s physical appearance (body weight, tan, tiny hands, hair — or lack thereof) as much as they’ve condemned him for the controversial statements that have come out of his mouth when discussing COVID cases and cures, racial injustice, and domestic terrorism.
Trump’s current political agenda includes repealing the Affordable Care Act, known as “Obamacare.” He opposes abortions except in the cases of rape, incest, and when the health of the mother is at risk. His administration has already made cuts to the Environmental Protection Agency and rolled back environmental and health regulations.
Physical Appearance
Some of Trump’s critics weren’t above hitting below the belt. Many do not shy away from body-shaming the president. They constantly critique his physical appearance, using it as a means of shaming him for his controversial statements about women and their physical appearance.

Grab ‘Em By The P*ssy Memes
In October 2016, a video was leaked of Trump describing how he interacts with women as a famous man. In the clip from 2005, he said, “I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the p*ssy. You can do anything.”

Controversial Statements Regarding Government Plans:
TikTok Ban:
In September 2020, the Trump administration announced they had plans to ban restrict downloads of WeChat and TikTok due to privacy concerns. The administration claimed that the Chinese-owned apps gave their government access to US citizen’s private information. This action is a follow-up from President Trump’s August 6th Executive Orders. In an effort to save the app, #TikTokBan and #SaveTikTok began circulating on the app.

After any public statement made by President Trump, one can expect a plethora of memes. Trump doesn’t seem to read his own notes before briefings, and rather stumbles his way through public announcements, which often yields comments featuring inaccurate facts.

Memes About Trump Being Racist:
Donald Trump has a long history of racist controversies dating back to 1973 when he violated the Fair Housing Acts by refusing to rent to Black tenants and lied about housing availability. Here are some memes concerning his overt racism.

Coronavirus Response
Trump and his administration lagged in their Coronavirus relief efforts. According to journalist Bob Woodward, President Trump knew about the virus and downplayed its severity early on. Over 222,000 Americans have died from the virus.

During a press briefing on April 23, President Trump suggested injecting a “disinfectant” into the body as a possible cure for the Coronavirus. Many memes began circulating featuring Clorox bleach, Lysol, and other cleaning agents.

Trump has been involved in a number of controversies since he stepped into the office and his critics have been quick to create memes around most — if not all — of them. There are many more anti-Trump memes online, like those revolving around his impeachment, his tax scandal, relationships with his family members, eating habits, his thoughts on climate change, etc.
