President Donald Trump is known to document his roller coaster of emotions and opinions on Twitter. The latest iteration of this was a reaction to the Supreme Court’s July 9th ruling that Manhattan prosecutors can access his financial records. Reactions and memes about Trump’s reaction sparked the hashtag #TrumpMeltdown to trend on Twitter.

Although the Supreme Court rulings mean that voters likely won’t learn about the details of Trump’s tax records before the November election, the president clearly was affected by the news. Among other things, he tweeted “POLITICAL WITCH HUNT,” and “Courts in the past have given “broad deference”. BUT NOT ME!”

This Supreme Court ruling comes on the same day that New York City painted a Black Lives Matter mural directly in front of Trump Tower. As the number of COVID-19 cases rises across the country and Joe Biden leads in the polls, this has not been a great week for Trump.
