The dance was then adopted by other TikToker’s whose accounts and notoriety grew tremendously from the fun dance. Controversy ensued after many realized Harmon was not receiving credit for the viral challenge. Harmon’s name was eventually credited for the dance and her story was covered in a Feb. 13 issue of The New York Times.

A week later, Harmon appeared on The Ellen Show and performed the “Renegade” with tWitch, (Stephen Laurel Boss), a DJ and dancer who appears often on the show.

She received her own feature in Teen Vogue on April 15.

As of recent, she was tapped by Warner Bros. Studios to create the official TikTok dance to promote the studio’s SCOOB movie with the cast. The campaign can be viewed in TikTok under the hashtag #ScoobDance.
