Singer and TikToker Jason DeRulo starred in 2019’s critically defamed movie Cats, alongside Idris Elba, Dame Judi Dench, Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift, Rebel Wilson, and so many others. The star-studded cast attended “cat school” to learn how to harness the power of their inner feline. While DeRulo was on a press run for the film in November 2019, he stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show and gave Kelly Clarkson and fellow guest Nicole Byer a “cat school” demonstration.
On May 9, Twitter user @Leeban shared a clip of DeRulo crawling on the floor with the caption, “I see this in my dreams.” The video began to circulate quickly, amassing over 2 million views. It instantly became a meme.
