The Brief: Android vs. Apple iOS 14 memes emerged on Twitter after Apple's new iOS 14 update revealed technology already available on Android phones.

DEEP DIVE
On June 22, Apple hosted their annual Worldwide Developers Conference, virtually. During the event, the tech company revealed the new features added to iPhones when updated to iOS 14. Users will gain the ability to set a default mail app or browser app, a new lightweight software program called “App Clips,” and a redesigned home screen.
Similar to that of Android based phones, Apple users will now be able to add and pin widgets with real-time updates to the top of their home screens. Users will also be able to create a “Smart Stack” of widgets, which uses on-device intelligence to find and launch the right widget based on time, location, and activity. Home screen s will also be more more customizable, giving users the ability to display widgets that are tailored to their interests, like work, travel, sports, entertainment, and more.

Regardless of what Android users think, loyal Apple stans seem to care less.
Everything Apple announces I get excited for, then I remember android has been doing it for years. Still don’t care, I’m too invested. #WWDC20 pic.twitter.com/MwyZQWqNoJ
