Work from home is the new normal across the globe. So naturally, many are running into unforseen interruptions while working from home. TikTokers are showcasing the most bizarre at-home disturbances leading to #WorkDistractions trending on the app. These videos are marked by an individual doing something out of the ordinary while others go on with their typical day. It is set to a rehash of someone mumbling through Pitbull’s “Culo.”
At the time of publication, 125 million videos are found under the hashtag #WorkDistractions. There are 159,000 videos linked to the audio which was first spotted on @yay4cats‘ Sept. 16, 2019 video. The TikTok featured a cat staring at a wall. Now, the audio has found a new home under #WorkDistractions videos.
The most popular videos under the trend were posted within the last week, around April 4. User @nishaandpriti’s video, captioned, “When your sister is working from home … but you don’t have a job,” garnered 1.2 million likes and 13.5 million views. In the video, one sister climbed down the banister wearing a hooded sweater (backward) while her sister sat at a nearby table, focused on her computer.

Others latched onto the trend and wore wild outfits to capture others’ attention. User @jmaybs attempted to distract her husband while wearing a gigantic clown suit. This video received 1.8 million likes and 22 million views.
Other videos feature TikTokers doing strange pass time activities, like sliding across the floor with a wastebasket on their head or walking around in a unicorn mask.
