The Brief: #EarthMonth starts in April and the purpose of the month-long initiative is to spread environmental awareness so that people can recognize more ways to conserve energy and the planet's natural resources.

DEEP DIVE
Now that it is April, this marks the beginning of the 5oth #EarthMonth which is a 30-day long initiative that spreads environmental consciousness, informative procedures of how to save the Earth’s natural resources, and includes Earth Day on the 22nd of the month.
Earth Month serves the same purpose as Earth Day as both times of the year are intended to signal an environmental awakening in the public so that people across the globe can work harder to conserve the well-being of the planet. On social media, users are posting messages and videos of themselves sharing perspectives or actions of how they are positively impacting the environment with the “Earth Month” hashtag. Environmentalists use this month to raise awareness about climate change and elaborate on preventive habits that can help alter the Earth’s harsh conditions.
Similar to #EarthHour on TikTok, users on the emerging social media platform are showcasing their eco-friendly acts with the #EarthMonth:

This wasn't how we planned to spend #EarthMonth. Let's talk about it. Where do you see our planet going? How can we keep some of the Covid-byproduct gains like the drop in pollution and nature returning to the cities…without an unbearable cost to humanity? pic.twitter.com/bTjDQViqmB
