TikTokers are taking you on a tour of their home while participating in the #RandomThings trend.  They showing off aspects of their homes that either do or don’t make sense. These videos began grew in popularity on the app, before eventually landing the “discover” page on April 21.

Some TikTok creators pointed out specific aspects of their house that are typical to a certain cultural background or heritage.

Creator @puertomexamericana gave a tour of her “Mexican home” detailing all of the essentials. “Pots and pans in the oven because why would you use a cabinet?” Her video was viewed over 1.3 million times and received over 319,000 likes.

There’s also this Japanese style home with its impressive appliances like a temperature setting to cook rice and sliding doors to save space. The video received over 6.8 million likes and 36.4 million views.

Creator @JasmineChiswell gave viewers a mini tour of her home which was previously owned by Marilyn Monroe. The video garnered over 6.5 million views and 1.8 million likes.

Others have created videos highlighting things in their home that don’t make any sense at all, like creator @Shlyyzz. Her bedroom doors are clear and made of glass. Her video amassed 930,000 views and 204,000 likes.
