The Brief: Retweet activism is a term used to critique people who are socially and politically conscious on social media but do nothing to address these issues outside of likes and shares.

DEEP DIVE
Retweet activism, or slacktivism, refers to those who act woke on social media while taking no action in real life. It is often used as a derisive term by boomers to criticize the younger generation for their surface-level support of social issues such as climate change or police brutality.
Humanity is no longer capable of group activism more drastic than retweeting.
Retweet if you agree.
