Every June, people around the world celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month. The month long series of events began in June 1970 as a way of commemorating the Stonewall Riots one year prior. This year marks the 49th Anniversary of the annual celebration. Yaaaas, queens!
Celebrations typically include parades, parties, workshops, and concerts. These events attract millions of participants around the world.

While Pride Month is designed as a time for celebration and inclusion, it also raises awareness for injustices plaguing the LGBTQ+ community.
