Within a world of panic and paranoia, the gay Black users of Twitter labeled the Coronavirus “Miss Rona” in efforts to bring some humor to a global catastrophe. The term was popularized through Twitter after the “Rona” was born and has now been the main subject to many recent jokes and memes regarding the virus.
“Miss Rona” is a symbolic figure relating to the Coronavirus and social media users are referring to her when they want to release some pent-up anger regarding how the virus has affected the entire world and their ways of life.
