Podcasts are similar to talk-radio and can be focused on any topic. The name comes from a combination of the words broadcast and iPod. Podcasts can be streamed live or downloaded on computers, tablets, smartphones, and other internet compatible devices. Users can download or stream them through apps like Apple Music, Spotify, and Pandora, or directly on the podcast’s website.  Some podcasts like the H3 Podcast and The Joe Rogan Experience are broadcast on YouTube in video form. Popular podcasts include the true crime series Serial and the NPR-produced This American Life.
