The male-counterpart to Karen, Kevin is an archetype of a white, straight, man over the age of 40 who acts selfishly and without compassion. Stereotypically, they are rude to people in customer service and are overtly entitled. Kevins are usually depicted as racist, homophobic, intolerant, ignorant, and short-tempered. A Kevin has a high chance of being a father to a Kyle.

According to the subreddit r/storiesaboutkevin, “A Kevin is someone who consistently or greatly shows a complete lack of intelligence through incompetence of social and societal norms, or is purposefully antagonistic in their poor decision making.”
This moniker is often used in reference to viral videos that surface of men acting in egregiously entitled ways. The Instagram account @kevinsgoingwild documents instances in which Kevins are publicly obnoxious, rude, violent, and/or hateful.
