The Brief: Fancams are edited videos of pop stars, actors, and other celebrities. They are typically shared on Stan Twitter.

DEEP DIVE
Fancams are close-up videos of celebrities and idols. They include close-up footage of one star at concerts, in movies, or in other public appearances.
Among KPOP stans, fancams typically follow a single member of a music group while the group performs onstage. Fancams can be shared to express love for a particular star, or to spam a tweet’s replies with unrelated content. Sometimes fancams will include unrelated footage spliced in so that unsuspecting viewers are surprised by something unrelated and/or inappropriate.
