The Brief: The PSL or Pumpkin Spice Latte is a seasonal Starbucks beverage.

DEEP DIVE
At Starbucks, the #PSL is a regular latte with a pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove flavored syrup added. The beverage is available in the U.S. from around Labor Day until around Christmas. To many, it is a marker of the fall season.
Pumpkin spice goes beyond just Starbucks lattes with the spice mix inspiring everything from makeup palettes to bagel flavors to beers.
A PSL in hand is also considered to be an identifier of a “basic b**ch.”

Although it is an extremely popular beverage and flavor, some people, including Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles are not fans of the PSL.
